      1. The Great Outdoors

        The Great Outdoors

Isn’t it relaxing to be able to enjoy a hot summer day on your porch? Maybe curl up on a porch swing with a good book and a cold glass of lemonade. If you asked me that question a few years ago, I would’ve said “no”. Where I live here in Georgia, you’ve got the sun glaring down at a high intensity giving you an uneven tan; and occasionally the wind blows rain showers on the porch. That is why I looked for a product that is resistant to many of the weather conditions “Mother Nature” throws our way...yet stylish at the same time.

Our Exterior Basswood Rollup Shades are a perfect product to consider for outdoor use. They are made from a rust-resistant hardwood designed to withstand the elements.  The heavy duty cording that controls the shade provides trouble free operation for ease of use.

      4. Bathroom Window Treatments

        BATHROOM WINDOW TREATMENTS

Choosing an appropriate bathroom window treatment is not a simple task. It requires creativity and attention to the entire setting to enhance the beauty of the room. Finding suitable bathroom window treatment(s) is part of the decorating process, contributing to the overall appearance of the room.

        Draperies and Curtains

The drapery is considered a more sophisticated bathroom window treatment, suitable for bathrooms of more generous dimensions, with special furniture and accessories. Draperies require more wall space around the window.  Drapery panels are not retractable in the same way as other window treatments are and that is why they require more space. The majestic and fabulous look is more appealing for very large bathrooms.

Curtains have some advantages compared to other types of bathroom window treatments. If you are seeking inexpensive versatility,

      6. Cellular Shades Save You Warmth and Money

Yes people…it’s that time of year again where the hot sun that pushed us to spend summer afternoons in our pools has turned away, ushering in the cool winds of the fall season. It’s that time of year where we fight off that cold draft seeping through our windows by cautiously raising the heat thermostat or cuddling under that warm blanket mom took the time to hand knit for us.

But what if there was an alternative to mom’s heartfelt creation to keep warm in these cool months to come. Especially living in an economy tainted by high-energy costs. If you’re looking for a contemporary product that can also be beneficial to your lifestyle, I would recommend our cellular shades.

Our cellular shades are custom crafted from a durable 100% non-woven polyester fabric using a single or double cell construction. What this does is act as an insulator blocking

      8. Bamboo Blinds or Bamboo Shades: What is the Difference?

Many times customers and businesses use the terms blind and shade synonymously. So when it comes to a Bamboo window treatment, this mixing of verbiage can cause confusion. Even we use the term interchangeable ways since and actual shade is usually what customers are looking for even if they search for bamboo blinds. So what is the difference? A shade is usually a piece of fabric or in this case, woven wood (bamboo, grass, reed, fabric, etc) that is raised and lowered in either a roman style, or a roll-up style (the former being more elegant generally). A blind, however, indicates thee are slats that tilt open and closed, like venetian blinds, mini blinds, etc, there are slats, made solely or primarily with bamboo. These slats may have a woven look, or may look very similar to a basswood blind - depending on how they are manufactured. True bamboo window blinds are much more of a niche product, since they are usually a bit more expensive than bass wood blinds, yet look similar (although they
