It's Oscar season! You may not have a team of stylists, but you can create your own Oscar worthy dressing room with just a mirror, custom window treatments and some sparkle.
A world of your own
To make a properly dreamy dressing room, it should be separate from the rest of the room in some way. The best area in which to install such a space is the bathroom or your bedroom. In order to divide it into your own personal wonderland, use either a screen or a billowy set of drapes. We think that window treatments are more unique than a simple screen, and they look great even when pulled back. You can also separate the space by painting it a different color than the rest of the room. Be it a shade lighter or a totally different hue, it's a great way to make it feel like you're stepping into a whole new world.
Treat yourself
One of the perks of having a dressing room is that it's a space all your own. It should be a place for you to gear up for the day, get done up for a night out or unwind before bed. You can help yourself along by filling it with various treats for yourself. You can fill a crystal jar or unique ceramic bowl with your favorite breath mints or splurge on a nice perfume bottle to spruce up your space. The important thing is to surround yourself with things you like that you consider to be small pleasure. After all, you are a STAR!
