The Payless Decor Platinum Exotics collection is simply the finest array of style, materials and components on the market today. Each shade has high end features such as stained headrails, heavy duty wood bottom rails and liners made with sewn-in ribs.This collection compares favorably to high end collections that likely are hundreds of dollars more expensive.

Each headrails are stained to match the color of the pattern
Shades are made with a heavy-duty, solid wood bottom rail, to make sure they hang straight and do not twist
*All liners are made with sewn in ribs and are hemmed to give a finished roman shade look to the back of the shade

Questions

Are the lotus reed shades actually made from lotus reeds or is that just the style they are done in? Additionally, is there any way I can get a sample of the shade?: The lotus reed is the name and are made from bamboo. Yes, click on Free Swatches (samples) at the top of the web site page or call the office and we will be happy to provide free samples to you (1-800-925-4635).
Do these shades pleat like roman style or do they roll up instead? How do I order them lines?: Shades fold like roman shades when pulled up. Lines you see is in the design of the bamboo. You may order free samples.
Would the Sahara midnight grass shade fade in direct sun.: Over time, direct exposure to sun will cause the shade to fade a little. It should not be overly noticeable unless you were to order shades at a later time to match. For example, if you ordered half your shades now and ordered another half at about a year later, you may notice a slight color difference. They are durable and do hold up well.
Are the shades light filtering or opaque?: All of these will be light filtering and can be seen through, unless you add a liner. There are two liner options on step #3 of the customization area. You can choose either privacy liner, which is light filtering, or you can choose blackout liner, which is opaque and room darkening.
Does the privacy liner provide as much protection from heat and cold as a blackout liner? Thanks.: No, the blackout liner will be more energy efficient as far as keeping out the heat and cold. The privacy liner will help and it is far better than if you had no liner at all; but if you are looking for the most energy efficient you will want to select the blackout liner.
