These bamboo roman shades are fabricated using matchstick bamboo, bamboo slats, rattan, jute, grass, reeds, and woven woods. All natural yet environmentally friendly, you will be able to add an earthy rustic appeal to any room of your home with these window treatments.

Cleaning of our bamboo window blinds is a snap; use a common feather duster to swipe over the slats for removing dust. If you feel the need for heavier cleaning, you can use a brush attachment for the vacuum cleaner to sweep over the slats. Be careful not to expose these exotic bamboo window shades to too much moisture unless it is weather treated as it can damage the finish of the shade. Also, never use household cleaners or citrus based cleansers on these discount bamboo blinds because those types of cleaners are too harsh.

I bought the basic bamboo shades with blackout liner in Java for my bedroom (6 total windows) and they were perfect! I loved them so much I ordered another 4 for the dining room (Java with privacy liner). I hung burlap drapes on those windows and it all looks so clean & put together. I plan to order more for the kitchen...

what is the difference in the privacy liner & the black out liner in terms of material and thickness? Is the material available in different colors? I'm looking at ordering the New Guinea Bamboo Shade with a liner.

Answer:

Blackout liner is opaque so no light comes though and is slightly thicker. A privacy liner does not have holes, so on a sunny day you will see the warmth of the sun, or on the outside one might see shadows. On the premium bamboo shades, only white is available. If you desire another color, please take a look at our Signature Bamboo Shades.

Question:

What is Roman style of roll type on shade? Do you have an option of roll pull rather than pull cord? I can't reach the pull cord over the counter.

Answer:

Roman style is the classic and elegant way bamboo shades are raised and lowered. They go up and down in a roman style fold which provides the greatest ease of use and the best functionality for your window treatment. As for roll pull, it sounds like you are referring to a continuous cord loop known as "Rollease". Rollease means the cord will always stay the same length regardless of shade position and makes lowering and raising the shade easier. That is an option on our Designer and Signature Bamboo Shades.

Are these cordless, if not do you have cordless bamboo roman shades?

Answer:

Unfortunately, we do not offer the cordless option on our Bamboo Shades. You may want to consider some other products like our cellular shades which offer the cordless feature as an option.

I need bamboo shades that are top down. Do you have any that fit this specification?

Answer:

Currently our Premium Bamboo Shades do not come in Top-Down as an options. However, if you are interested in Top-down, or top-down bottom up, take a look at our Designer or Signature lines that do have this option available.

I am going to be ordering a bamboo blind for my kitchen window. When mounting the bracket for an inside installation,do you mount to the inside side of the frame or the back of the frame or do you have the option to do either? I looked at the printed directions and am a bit confused. Thanks!!

Answer:

The mounting brackets are flexible, so for an inside mount you would have the ability to mount to the sides of the window recess or the top. They also could be used to mount to the back of the window recess, but for an inside mount this would be unusual.

are these blinds made to be used outdoor on a screen in deck?

Answer:

They are made for indoor usage only. They are not weather treated.

Question:

Are your premium bamboo shades lined?

Answer:

No, they do not come lined. However there is the option of a privacy liner (light-filtering) or blackout liner (room darkening) for this product.

What does the +20% mean when it is behind some of the color choices?

Answer:

Some of the colors are 20% more expensive than the others. So if you choose them, you will notice that the price will increase 20%.

I previously ordred in 2010 Premium Bamboo Shades #40073650 Width:22 1/2" Length 56" and am needing 'black-out' liners (2) (lift cord-right) Please e-mail me and let me know!

Answer:

Are you seeking new shades, or are you looking to retro-fit your old shades? Unfortunately we cannot retro-fit old shades with a liner. You can purchase liners to add-onto your shades on Amazon I believe. You also may want to consider a curtain to overlay your shades or a blackout roller shade.

Does your bamboo roman shades come in Green/Ivory Bamboo color?

Answer:

There are some shades that have a greeneish tint and others that have an ivory tint. Generally we would recommend you take a look at the pictures, and if there are some that are close -- order some free samples so you can take a look in person. Thanks!
