You will need the following items:
- Writing tool and paper.
- A measuring tape in inches with a minimum 1/8" increment. (metal measuring tape is the best for accuracy)
Choosing The Width
Our drapery panels are available in three width sizes: 50", 75", and 100". You will want to measure the width of the rod you will be installing over the window. Generally, rods will go at least 4" beyond the frame of the window, 2" on each side. Fullness will depend upon personal preference in determining the number of panels that you want to request for your space. However, a good rule of thumb is to stick with fullness to be about 2 1/2 times that of the measured width.
Choosing The Height
You can customize the height of the panel going as small as 20" and as tall as 120". Measure from the top of the rod or mounting board to where you would like the edge of the panel to stop. Some clients will prefer drapes to "pool" upon the floor, in which case you might want to add to the measured height that you get. We recommend adding about 4"-10" depending upon the desired look.
