When it comes to everything from discount window treatments to accent furniture, trends are constantly changing. This year, one that continues to grow in popularity is rose patterns, according to the Hattiesburg American. This flower is being seen in everything from wallpaper to throw pillows, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.

If you're in the market for new window treatments and you don't want to use cellular shades, why not choose drapes incorporating roses? The same can be said for linens, throw blankets and upholstery throughout your home. Furthermore, it isn't difficult to find this pattern and utilize it in virtually any room of the home.

Going traditional
If you don't want to uses flowers throughout your living spaces, this doesn't mean that you have to abandon the idea of a traditional interior altogether. There are many ways you can achieve this classic look without incorporating floral patterns.

Better Homes and Gardens magazine recommends being consistent with the materials you choose for the home. For instance, if you use oak wood throughout a traditional space, think about utilizing it in the decorative pieces as well. You'll be surprised at how quickly wood can also create a comforting feeling in your environment.

Crown molding is another characteristic you may want to use in a traditional room. Think of incorporating crown molding into an area that you want to have an elegant feeling. The process can be relatively inexpensive and do wonders for the space.

Finally, top off the entire look with elongated drapes composed of a thick material such as velvet. This can instantly add a sense of luxury while creating an eye-pleasing look in your home. By taking these tips into consideration, you can achieve the traditional appearance you're striving for in your humble abode.
