 Bamboo is creeping its way into every industry, especially interior decorating. You can purchase bamboo blinds in many styles. Variations of the bamboo blind really have to do with nothing more than the width of the bamboo slats and the method of raising and lowering the blind. Roman shades fold up into several inch sections as they are retracted. Roll up bamboo blinds actually roll up from the bottom as the shade is raised. Matchstick bamboo blinds are made of thin, round “sticks” rather than flat slats. They tend to let in more light than slat style blinds. Slat blinds are blinds that are made of flat, thin slats that are woven closely together. Slat designs typically offer more privacy and block out more sun than matchstick varieties.
