Bamboo is an environmentally renewable raw material and our factory draws from its own wild growth forests of over 300,000 acres. No pesticides, no chemicals. Bamboo creates a great natural sun screen and creates filtered light in a variety of natural wood and earth tone colors.

The only place to go for blinds, Saturday, December 10, 2011

I've been a customer of Payless Decor for several years now and would not even consider another vendor when it comes to blinds or window treatments. I did an ungodly amount of online research and PD always had the lowest price for what I wanted. I've been pleasantly surprised with the great service that has accompanied the products. From personal emails to ask questions about orders, to very fast ship times and excellent manufacturing quality, PD has got all its bases covered. The blinds are physically made in China but that doesn't really matter when you see them in your house - everything is done to a very high standard and you will not be disappointed. PS - if I had to pick, my favorite style/stain is Tamarind, part of the Platinum II Collection. That dark, distressed look goes perfectly with our Autumn-inspired color scheme of oranges, browns and greens in our house. Could not be happier and will continue to shop at Payless Decor as the years go on.

I have long windows, 72" long. Would the gras/reeds weaves fold up flatter than the bamboo options

Answer:

All of our bamboo shades fold "roman style" as they go up which means they would be "layered" when raised. When down, all bamboo shades would have about the same depth of 2" with a standard lift.

Question:

In the woven wood blinds - tradewind spice- is this a roll up blind or does it roll up like a roman blind in layers?

Answer:

This woven wood blind rolls up roman style, as all of our bamboo blinds, regardless of color or product line.

Question:

I am interested in the calabria Sunset. I do prefer a liner for privacy. Do you recommend this particular shade to have a liner? Do you have any pictures of any of them with a liner? How would calabria Sunset look edged in black?

Answer:

Unfortunately, we do not have any pictures of the shade with a liner. A suggestion, you can do a google search to view a generic bamboo shade with a liner attached. If you need privacy but still would like light to filter in, I would recommend going with a privacy liner. A good thing about the Platinum Collection series is there are different color choices for the liners (oppose to just white).

What is the name of the bamboo color on the current/main picture?

Answer:

We would like you to go to each product line and peruse the colors and free order samples. Picture is merely a display picture from a distance and we would not want you to order a product without first getting a sample.

Question:

What is "edge binding" on the bamboo shades? I'm interested in purchasing the Mandalay Oak color in the Platinum Collection- is there a color you recommend for the this specific shade? What if we chose "none" in the edge binding option? (Would it just look very similar to the Mandalay Oak color sample with you click on the preview link?) Thank you!

Answer:

Edge Banding is an option on our bamboo shades in which a decorative fabric is sewn on the shade to cover the cut edges of the bamboo. Choosing that option and a edge banding color totally depends upon your preference. Some customers like the natural look of the bamboo without the edge banding, some customers prefer it. Without the edge banding (by choosing "none" for that option), the edges of the bamboo product would appear like the sample.
