Each of these fabrics made by Phifer offer varying degrees of sunlight. The greater the openness, the greater amount of light comes through:

Style 2390 has a 5% Openness factor. This collection is made of vinyl coated fiberglass.
Style 3000 has a 14% Openness factor. A combination of vinyl coated fiberglass and polyester yarns, this style is an elegant shading fabric.
Style 4000 has a 5% Openness factor. Made from vinyl coated polyester yarns this style is commercial-grade.
Style 5000 has a 5-10% Openness factor. This collection is 100% polyester and provides a natural to provide a unqiue and elegant look.

Very happy with my recent purchase. The only downside is that I wish they would have offered something with a slightly higher solar filter. These are used in my business which is a hair salon. When the sun is directly hitting the window, the rays come through enough & reflect in the mirrors still causing a slight glare. They only offered two levels of sun filtering in the color I needed, which is the one I purchased or total blackout, which I did not want. Most of the time, they do exactly what I need so overall I am very happy with my purchase. The company is great to work with.

These roller shades are great! I ordered 2 batches of the free samples to make sure I definitely got the color I wanted. Once that decision was made, I went forward with the order process and the blinds arrived in the mail super fast. The instructions were easy to follow and probably would've been even easier to hang if my bed wasn't totally in the way (d'oh!). Overall great product and will definitely be ordering some wooden blinds for my mom's house.

I bought these shades for a room facing my pool. It is quite hot in there during the summer, but we don't want to give up the view. The turnaround on the shades was stellar - I received them just 5 days after I ordered. Then putting them up was fairly straightforward, and now they look excellent in the room. Couldn't be more pleased!

what is a cassette system?

Answer:

Cassette system is a more advanced method of concealing your shades. It includes a headrail and valance which covers the shade when it's rolled up. It also comes standard with a continuous cord loop which uses a beaded looped cord to control the height of the shade.

What is the best way to clean fabric roller shades?

Answer:

The best way to clean our Premium Roller Shades is with a dry cloth, feather duster, or a vacuum attachment. We do not recommend cleaning them with a wet cloth or rag which can damage the product over time.

Question:

Do they come with side rails for outdoor instalations? And, how about motorized?

Answer:

Unfortunately, this product is not designed for outdoor use. The only outdoor product that we offer is our Exterior Basswood Rollup Shades. I have posted a link below. I am looking to use this on my patio door and my question is if you are in looking in from outside can you see through the blind in to the buiding? I am also looking for a blind that has privacy as well. Thanks

Sun and Solar Shades - Style 7000 is a blackout roller shade and no one will be able to see through the blind from the outside. This blind obviously will provide privacy as well.

Can the shades be used outdoors, in a covered area?

Answer:
