I got these shades for our bedroom. The shades came about as fast as I expected, but I was blown away by the quality. I have some Hunter Douglas blackout shades in another room, and these appear to be just as well made!

I am interested in 3/8 in double cell blackout honeycomb shades. Some I have seen have the foil lining on the inside. Do these have the same lining? I’ve seen some blackout shades that do not have it and prefer that option. Also, we currently have honeycomb shades where we will be putting new ones. Our old ones are falling apart and don’t block out enough light for TV viewing. Can I just use the measurements of these blinds for ordering? They fit the window perfectly and want to make sure the new ones fit just as well.

Our 3/8" Signature Blackout Double Cellular Shades use a foil lining. I have enclosed a link below. Feel free to order free samples on our website. As for measuring, do not measure your old shades. Measuring for cellular shades. I was told to round down the nearest 1/8" for the width and up to the nearest 1/8" for the height. Is that what you recommend?

Answer:

For an inside mount, yes. And this is true for any window treatment. Essentially, you want to make sure that your blind/shade is not too wide so it does not fit in your window. And you want to make sure that your blind/shade is not too short so that your do not have a light gap on the bottom.
